Level III Security Officer Commission Training Course $125
Pre-requisites: Currently employed by a licensed

Course length: 30 hours (state mandated minimum)
State mandated training course taught by certified/licensed instructors required to
apply for your Level III
Security Commission. Course includes Board Rules, Ethics, Emergency
Procedures, Use of
Force/Deadly Force, Basic Firearms Training, Firearms Proficiency, etc.
Does not include state fee.
Required Equipment: Handgun (duty handgun)*, 50 rounds of
ammunition*, 12 gauge shotgun* and 9 shotgun shells*.

Course length: 6 hours of continuing education training

Continuing Education training course satisfying the Private Security
Bureau requirements
for company managers. Course covers the security officer, training
requirements, state paperwork, Texas Occupations Code, Private Security
Bureau Board
Rules and more. Does not include state fee.

Defensive Handgun Tactics $225
Pre-requisites: Participant must possess one of the
following: Texas Concealed Handgun License, P.S.B. Non-Commission, P.S.B. Level III Security Commission,
P.S.B. Private Investigator License, P.S.B. Personal Protection
Officer License or active Peace Officer certification or Instructor
approval.* (call for details).
Course length: 4 hours (Day One), 6 hours (Day Two)
This course will challenge all the popular myths surrounding
handgun employment tactics and techniques. You will learn proven
techniques for shooting with one and two hands, from different firing
stances and handgun retention tactics in a close quarters combat
environment traditional to criminal attacks. Course is designed to
incorporate as much realism as possible by using obstacles, 3-D targets
and multiple shooting positions.
Required Equipment: Handgun (used for concealed carry), spare magazines or speed loaders,
holster and 8 boxes (400 rounds) of ammunition minimum.

Basic Handcuffing for Security
Officers Training Course

Pre-requisites: Current Texas Commission on Private
Security Non-Commission or Commission* (call for details)
Course length: 4 hours
Training course designed to train, educate and evaluate the security
officer in the proper and legal use of handcuffs as a restraining
device. Course includes arrest authority, mechanics of an arrest,
approaching, handcuffing and escorting suspects as well as removing the
handcuffs. A must for any security officer who currently carries
handcuffs on duty. Course includes hands-on training.
Required Equipment: Handcuffs, handcuff case and a working
knowledge of handcuffs. Comfortable clothing and footwear is
recommended. No firearms, edged
weapons or OC permitted.

Compliance and Control Holds Training Course $100
Pre-requisites: T.C.P.S. Non-Commission, Level III Security Commission
or active Peace Officer certification.
Course length: 8 hours
These techniques are not only the art of manipulating fingers, joints or
nerves, but the use of the whole body by using inner strength for the
application of the techniques. As participants progress deeper into
the theory of control holds, goals are established to accomplish our
purpose. Pressure must be applied and released to borderline the
threshold of pain. Verbal skills giving direction are used to round
out the perfect technique. This program brings together these
important points to teach techniques that are practical and easy to
learn. Course includes extensive hands-on training and physical
contact.
Required Equipment: Comfortable clothing and footwear is
recommended.

Monadnock Expandable Baton (Basic)
Training Course $100
Pre-requisites: T.C.P.S. Level III Security Commission, P.I.
License, P.P.O. License or active Peace Officer certification.
Course length: 4 hours
This program involves lecture, demonstration, hands-on skill development
and testing. Participants will learn key definitions, baton
nomenclature, maintenance procedures, and target areas as denoted on the
Monadnock Baton Chart. They will learn minimum competency in stance,
patterns of movement, grip positions, methods of carry, two draws from a
holder, two-handed blocks for various plains of attack, one and two-handed
counter-strikes, and baton retention skills. Certification depends
on satisfying two specific tests: proficiency and knowledge.
Required Equipment: Duty belt, straight baton
(expandable), baton holder, handcuffs and key - No firearms, edged
weapons or OC permitted.

Pro-Systems and Bushi Satori Ryu Mini-Baton Training Course
$75
Pre-requisites: T.C.P.S. Level III Security Commission, P.I.
License, P.P.O. License, active Peace Officer certification or Instructor
approval.
Course length: 4 hours
A Mini-Baton can be any piece of wood, plastic or metal which is no longer
than 7 1/2 inches in length. Many officers carry a mini-flashlight,
a Persuader Baton or other types of short sticks. Any of these items
are suitable to use as a mini-baton. This program involves lecture,
demonstration, hands-on skill development and testing. This course
fills a need for those officers who carry a mini-baton and desire training
in this control and self-defense tool.
Required Equipment: Comfortable clothing and footwear is
recommended. |
